Police are continuing their search for Valerie Hargrave, 81, who has been missing since Saturday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Baillie said they believed Valerie would not have travelled far from the area but concerns for her were growing.
People in the suburb were asked to check their properties as part of the search.
Police said Hargrave was wearing a pink cardigan or jersey and walked with a shuffle.
She is around 167cm tall and of small build.

“Given the time that has passed since confirmed sighting of Valerie, her family and police are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare,” he said.
Baillie said there will be an increased police presence in Woolston and surrounding areas as officers made further enquiries.
