Man with distinctive facial tattoos surrenders to police

A man with distinctive facial tattoos has surrendered to police, nearly two weeks after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Naya Rapiu Fabian Wharekura, 28, was wanted by police for breaching his bail conditions.

At the time, police said the man, from Ngāruawāhia, had "serious charges laid against him."

He is due to appear in court on September 30.
