Pedestrian dead after being hit by car in Hamilton

A person has died after being hit by a car in Hamilton last night.

The crash happened on Willougby Street at 6.40pm.

Police say further details regarding the pedestrian will be released once family have been notified.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
