Two 15-year-old boys have today been named as the pair who died following a crash between a car and truck in Hamilton on Monday.
They were Jrusc Wilson and Reef Gurnick, both aged 15.
"Our thoughts are with those close to them," police said.
One of the teenagers died soon after the crash on Wairere Dr near Pukete around 2.30pm Monday.
"One person died at the scene and three others were taken to hospital," Inspector Scott Miller said yesterday.
A second teenager died of his injuries in Waikato Hospital overnight.
"Police extend their condolences to the families of all of those involved," Miller said.
"We would also like to thank the members of the public who came to the aid of those who were injured and assisted at the scene."
Two others remained in hospital in serious condition.
Investigations were underway to determine the circumstances of the crash.
