Cordons lifted at Auckland road after suspicious package found to 'pose no danger'

Police have lifted the cordons off a road in Auckland's North Shore after establishing a package found earlier "poses no danger".

Police had cordoned off a section of Glenfield Rd after a “suspicious package” was reportedly left on a bus in Glenfield.

However, further examination found the package wasn't dangerous and it "poses no danger", a spokesperson confirmed.

Police told 1 NEWS they were initially called about the item at around 3.15pm today.
