Man arrested after reported crash and shots fired into air in Huntly

November 2, 2019

A 26-year-old man was arrested in Huntly overnight after he allegedly crashed into a barrier then fired gunshots into the air.

Police told 1 NEWS they were called to Great South Road at about 2.00am.

Police said he did not receive serious injuries. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

He is due to appear in Hamilton District Court next Friday on charges including unlawfully carrying a firearm, discharging a firearm and careless driving.
