Auckland Marathon's women's winner showed a remarkable gesture of sportsmanship this morning, helping a straggler across the finish line after completing her gruelling race.
Christchurch native Hannah Oldroyd ran a superb race, clocking in with a time of 2:54:08 to take out first place.
However, her day wasn't finished there, turning around to help another exhausted competitor just moments after crossing the line herself.
