Two stabbed after disagreement between driver, car window washers

Police attend a serious incident in Manukau

A man has been arrested after two people were stabbed during a disagreement between a driver and people washing car windows in Auckland last night.

Police were called to the corner of Te Irirangi Drive and Great South Road at around 6.10pm.

"Two people sustained stab wounds following a disagreement between the driver of car and two men who were washing car windows nearby," Detective Senior Sergeant Michele Gillespie said.

Police at the scene of the incident in Auckland.

"The offender is not believed to be known to the victims."

The two stabbed men were moderately injured.

A 31-year-old man is facing two charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He will appear in the Manukau District Court today.

"Inquiries are ongoing," Gillespie.
