The White Ferns have lost their ODI series against India being beaten in the decider by six wickets.
The White Ferns batted first and put up a total of 232 which looked like a defendable score in Ahmedabad.
Georgia Plimmer had another decent outing hitting 39 off 67, but her fellow openers failed to fire.
Suzie Bates (4), Lauren Down (1) and Sophie Devine (9) were all dismissed early to leave the White Ferns at 36-3 in the 11th over.
There was a resurgence down the order however, with Brooke Halliday smashing a career-best knock of 86 off 96 balls.
However, India managed to reach the White Ferns total with 34 balls to spare.
In the two other ODI's in the series, the team batting first were able to defend their totals but that wasn't the case today.
India were helped in their run chase by opener Smriti Mandhana's century, which came off 122 balls.
She was also helped by decent run-scoring around her with captain Harmanpreet Kaur scoring 59 not out.
The White Ferns only managed to take four wickets, and struggled to break the Indian partnerships — something they had been successful with in the second ODI.
The White Ferns lost the first ODI of the series by 59 runs, before bouncing back to win the second match by 76 runs.
The White Ferns currently sit sixth in the ICC Women's Championship while India are third. The top six teams qualify directly into the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup.
This is the last match the side will play for more than a month, with their next scheduled outing being a three-match ODI series against world No. 1 Australia in Wellington starting December 19.
