A search is underway for a person missing in the water off the Raglan coast this evening.
Police say they received a report of a group of people requiring assistance in the water at Manu Bay around 6.24pm.
"While some have made it to shore, one person is still unaccounted for. A search is underway," a police spokesperson told 1News.
Manu Bay is a renown surf beach, its point break hosting the Raglan Rip Curl Pro competition.
Surf lifeguards from the Raglan Surf Club and crew from the Raglan Coastguard were also involved in the search, a coastguard spokesperson said.
