Police have named the person who died after a house bus fire near Hokitika on the South Island's West Coast last week.
She was Jirong Wang, 46, a Chinese national.
Emergency services had been called to a Blue Spur property at about 4am last Tuesday.
Police at the time said one person had made it out of the house unharmed but "sadly a second person was located deceased".
A police spokesperson said today the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
"Police continue to work with the family through what is a very difficult time, this includes assisting them with organising the return of Mrs Wang's body to China," they said.
"After an extensive scene examination and witness inquiries police have concluded that the property did have fire precaution measures, including smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.
"The death will be referred to the coroner, and police inquiries continue to ensure all relevant matters have been considered."
