One dead in crash on SH1 at Cambridge

One person has died in a crash on State Highway 1 near Cambridge involving a van and a truck.

The crash happened just before 5am, with one person dying at the scene, police said.

A second person was taken to hospital with serious injuries by St John.

Diversions are in place.

It’s the same stretch of road that saw a fatal accident between a car and ambulance just three weeks ago.
