Slip closes State Highway 2 near Ōpōtiki

Waiotahe Beach Road on State Highway 2, west of Ōpōtiki has been closed after a large slip.

Diversions are in place on Paerata Ridge and Verrall Road.

Police say the slip is reported to still be moving, making an estimated time to re-open difficult.

Contractors and police remain on site.
