Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have agreed on the most lucrative deal in NFL history, according to multiple reports today.
Rodgers' former teammate and current NFL Network analyst James Jones first reported the agreement, tweeting that Rodgers and the Packers had agreed to a four-year deal.
He will make $US33.5 million ($NZ50 million) annually in new money, plus available incentives each year, and receive more than $100 million ($NZ149 million) guaranteed.
Atlanta's Matt Ryan held the previous benchmarks with an annual salary of almost NZ$45 million and $NZ141 million in guaranteed money,
According to multiple reports, Rodgers will receive more than $NZ119 million by March.
