Shocking footage appeared last week of a US policeman running over a colleague during a high-speed car chase with life-changing consequences.
Trooper Alan Aiken mistook fellow Arkansas trooper Lt John T. Overman for the suspect they were pursing, and decided to glance him with the bonnet of his car.
Overman has now been left with life-long injuries as a result of the accident, Nine News reports.
Lt Overman has since slammed Aiken in local media saying he wasn't taking the incident seriously and labeled him "an extreme liability to the agency, the safety of the public, other officers and himself."
Aiken has since been reprimanded but not before asking for a piece of the car's damaged bumper so he could make himself a plaque.
