Four people have been taken to hospital following a large house fire in Auckland's Point England this afternoon.
Fire and Emergency NZ said they received multiple calls to a single-storey house fire on Taratoa St around 3.26pm.
Four crews from Ellerslie, Mt Wellington, Remuera and St Heliers responded to the incident.
"The fire has been extinguished, crews remain on scene dampening down hotspots," Fire and Emergency said.
Hato Hone St John said they were notified of the blaze around 3.30pm and responded with two ambulances and one operations manager.
Six people were assessed at the scene.
Four patients were taken to Auckland City Hospital, with two in a moderate condition and two in a minor condition. Two others did not require being taken to hospital.
