Police are appealing for the public's help to identify a person pictured near the scene of a fatal house fire in Auckland's Onehunga in May.
Emergency services were called to a house fire on Trafalgar Street at around 7.20am on May 22.
Police later named the person who died as Geoffrey Rollinson, aged 70.
Auckland City CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greaves said officers believe the person pictured may be able to assist in the investigation, and urged the public to help in identifying them.
"If you recognise this person or have any information that could assist Police in our enquiries, please contact 105, quoting reference number 260522/8479," said Greaves.
Information could also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
At the peak of the fire, Fire and Emergency New Zealand had 12 trucks at the scene, and acting assistant commander Kenton Rusbridge said hoarding at the property contributed to the extremity of the blaze.
"The building was heavily fuel-loaded as a result of some hoarding, resulting in the extreme fire conditions found by the fire crews," said.
Footage captured by 1News show police, firefighters and ambulances on scene, with crews spraying water onto the smoking roof of the house.

St John sent three ambulances, an operations manager and two rapid response vehicles as several other people managed to escape the blaze.
