Auckland's Waitematā (Britomart) station was closed, and trains were cancelled this morning after a nearby vegetation fire in Parnell.
Emergency services were called to Fred Ambler Lookout at around 4.10am. Four fire trucks and one ladder truck were called to the Parnell fire, with crews from Parnell, Auckland City, Remuera, and Grey Lynn.
"Crews are working to extinguish the fire. It is now contained, but firefighters are continuing to extinguish hotspots throughout the bush," a Fire and Emergency NZ spokesperson said.
Police said it had been notified of the fire.

A message on Auckland Transport's website said Waitematā station – Auckland's central train station – was closed "until further notice".
"Confirming that due to an emergency services incident, a fire near Ōrākei, Waitematā Station is temporarily closed," a spokesperson for Auckland Transport told 1News.
The agency said all Southern and Western line services were cancelled between Waitematā and Newmarket.
Onehunga line services were cancelled between Penrose and Newmarket, and Eastern line services were cancelled between Sylvia Park and Waitematā, but operating to Newmarket.
Scheduled buses will accept train tickets and AT Hop cards.
