Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury suffered in the Warriors' win over the Dragons at the weekend.
The veteran back, who limped from the field during his side's 30-12 victory in Sydney, confirmed an ACL injury on his Instagram account this morning.
"That's my footy done this year," he said. "ACL confirmed. Tough to accept, but the season goes on. We got something special going. Big love for all the messages."
The confirmation of the injury means Tuivasa-Sheck's long NRL career is over. It is not known whether the 32-year-old requires surgery or whether the injury will affect his new contract with English Super League club Wakefield Trinity. It is the second left knee ACL injury of his career.
Tuivasa-Sheck is the second Warriors player to suffer a season-ending ACL injury after Tanah Boyd did his against the Broncos.
Tuivasa-Sheck, a former Warriors captain, played 242 NRL games - 84 for the Roosters and 158 for the Warriors (across two stints).
The Warriors are second on the table with nine wins in 11 matches. Adam Pompey is Tuivasa-Sheck's likeliest replacement for the clash against the No.1-ranked Panthers in Sydney on Sunday.
