A man has been injured following a stabbing at a house party in Whangārei over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to a property on Townsend Pl in Tikipunga around 1.15am on Sunday.
Officers called to the scene found the man with "multiple stab wounds in the back", Detective Senior Sergeant Shane Pilmer said.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he remained in a stable condition.
He had been attending a party at the property with around 20 other people before the incident, Pilmer said.
