Celebrity Treasure Island is back for another year of jam-packed action — and the first teaser suggests season seven will deliver all the drama, grit and chaos fans have come to expect.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Northland, the newest season sees a fresh group of Kiwi personalities go head-to-head in a series of challenges to win a cash prize for their chosen charities.
Among the biggest names are broadcasting legends Simon Barnett and Polly Gillespie, rugby greats Portia Woodman-Wickliffe and Frank Bunce, and social media stars Harrison Keefe, Nix Adams and Louis Davis.
A collection of actors join this year's cast, including Vinnie Bennett and Te Ao o Hinepehinga, as well as Shortland Street stars Ria Vandervis and Ben Barrington.
TVNZ sports reporter Zion Dayal is swapping the newsroom for nature, while singer/songwriter Georgia Lines sets down her microphone and guitar for a shot at treasure island success.
'Miss me?'

After missing last season, Jayden Daniels is back to his hosting duties alongside Bree Tomasel.
"I've got an old mate crashing the party," an excited Tomasel exclaims in the trailer, before a grinning Daniels appears on screen and asks, "Miss me?"
The duo has reunited to front what looks to be one of the most dramatic seasons yet — if the trailer is anything to go by.
The preview video introduces the two teams, Kahu and Takapu, setting up an early clash in both attitude and approach.

Comedian David Correos appears to capture the intensity of the show early on: “This game just knows how to…” before miming being pulled apart, “pull me, you know.”
The challenges, much to the relief of fans, look as tough as ever in the new season.
Contestants can be seen paddling through choppy water, competing in beachfront endurance challenges, and even hanging suspended in mid-air, prompting radio host Keefe to ask: “What kind of sick freak made this game up?”

There's no shortage of surprises, as Daniels hints at a twist: "There are two more celebs waiting in the wings," he reveals, much to the visible surprise of some contestants.
"Oh my god. I just got shivers," exclaims media personality Gillespie.
Strategy appears to be divided already. Broadcaster Barnett says, “I don’t imagine there will be a kill,” before Woodman-Wickliffe fires back: “We are in for the kill today.”
Hints of deception and rivalry between teams emerge too, with actor Bennett expressing his dismay at the opposition: "Their team are just the dirtiest players ever.”

The upcoming season promises to be emotional, with clips showing various castaways tearful and embracing one another.
“What the hell are we doing to each other?” social media star Adams asks, while comedian Liv Parker can be seen stepping away from the camera, asking through tears: “Sorry, can I just have a moment?"
Moments, there'll be plenty of those.
Celebrity Treasure Island starts April 27 and airs 7.30pm Monday to Wednesday on TVNZ2 and TVNZ+.
