1News sports presenter Andrew Saville came under friendly fire in South Africa, but he’s choosing to see it as a good omen for himself and the All Blacks.
Saville was speaking to Breakfast this morning from Cape Town ahead of the second Test between the Springboks and All Blacks when a bird left a deposit on his shirt.
Ever the professional, he didn’t notice the indiscretion at the time – it was pointed out to him by hosts Tova O’Brien and Chris Chang.
“I’m wondering which of these species may have crapped on your shirt, Sav,” Chang said.
Saville said he thought he felt something hit his hair while speaking.
“Hopefully it’s good luck for the All Blacks and myself.”
Before the groodle puppy could predict the outcome of the upcoming All White's World Cup game, he had to do his morning business on live TV. (Source: Breakfast)
It's not the first time an animal's call of nature has derailed a Breakfast segment this year.
During TVNZ's World Cup coverage, Oli Sail's puppy, brought on to see if it could predict the outcome of New Zealand's opening World Cup match against Iran, went to the toilet.
