Phallic-shaped fruit and veggies, a chip with a hole in the shape of a heart and a patriotic rock were among this year's most viewed Trade Me listings.
As 2023 wraps up, the online auction site once again revealed what Kiwis had their eye on most throughout the year.
The most viewed auction from this year was a "heart-shaped hole chip" found by 10-year-old Bianca while eating a bag of Bluebird ready salted chips.
Instead of eating the chip, she and her whānau listed it on Trade Me to raise money for Starship Hospital. The listing garnered 104,000 views, raising $5000 for the charity.
In second place was a rock found on the West Coast of the South Island with a New Zealand-shaped lime deposit.
Despite catching 82,000 Kiwis' attention, nobody jumped on the $20,000 buy-now price.
New Zealand's unique sense of humour was also reflected in the listings, with four "phallic-shaped foodstuffs" cracking the top 10.
Third place went to a radish in the shape of male genitalia, which gained 58,000 views before being sold for $151, raising money for Auckland flood victims.
Trade Me spokesperson Tiana Barns said: "This just goes to show Kiwis love to have a laugh at what mother nature can produce.
"The stories behind most of these listings will make you smile, giggle, or remind you of key moments we celebrated as a country in 2023."
