Children killed in 'traumatic' Rotorua homicide aged 11 months, and 3
Two children killed in Rotorua on Monday evening were aged 3, and 11 months, police say.
A homicide probe was launched after the deaths of a woman and two children in Rotorua on Monday evening.
Emergency services found the two young children dead at a property in Glenholme around 10.30pm. The woman was found with critical injuries and could not be saved.

A car has landed upside down in the drive-thru of a West Auckland McDonald's this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to the corner of Great North Rd and West Coast Rd at around 12.35pm on Wednesday, where the car came to rest flipped completely onto its roof, wheels in the air, just metres from the drive-thru menu board.
Free diver drowned while using cheap online breathing device
A Lower Hutt man drowned while using a cheap online-purchased breathing device which a police dive expert has branded dangerous.
A coroner, in her report into Shengwei Cao's death released today, calls for the device to be banned from importation into New Zealand.
Cao died in 2023 after diving near Mana Island on the Kapiti Coast. He had free dived for five to six years and had recently bought a Wolach 919 Surface Supplied Breathing Unit online.
