One person was killed this morning after being struck by a train in Glen Eden (Source: 1News)

One person has died after being struck by a train in Glen Eden, Auckland this morning.

Police said they were called to the scene near Glenview Rd around 9.23am.

Trains in the area have been stopped due to the incident.

Police are urging travellers to expect delays and ask motorists to avoid the area if possible.
