Police car on way to accident crashes with bus in Lower Hutt

A police car on its way to an accident with its lights and sirens on has been involved in a crash with a bus in Lower Hutt this morning.

Police said they were called to the scene at the intersection of Kings Crescent and High St, Boulcoutt, at 7.15am.

There were no passengers on the bus at the time and no one was seriously injured.

However, the Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene and inquiries into the circumstances will be ongoing.
