A climber was airlifted to hospital after falling off Ti Point, in Auckland's north.
Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter assisted a man in his 20s who fell about five metres while rock climbing on Wednesday.
The incident, which happened at 5pm, required the man to be extracted by winch from a height of 90ft. He was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.
Police later told 1 News in statement they were notified at 4:40pm of a climber who had fallen at Ti Point and his injuries were moderate.
