State Highway 1 blocked in Wellington after car crashes into power pole

A stretch of State Highway 1 in Levin is closed and power lines are down after a car crashed into a power pole this evening.

Police say the incident happened at about 7.15pm.

The vehicle had one occupant. The extent of the person's injuries is not yet clear.
