An Auckland real estate agency has "bucked the trend" by advertising a West Auckland property on TradeMe that it admits is "dreadful".
The extremely honest listing was posted by City Sales, a family-owned real estate agency whose owners say they don't follow "the conventional rules".
City Sales Marketing Manager Scott Dunn told 1 NEWS that the unusual listing has drawn "record attention" to the rundown property on Daytona Rd in West Auckland.
"The listing has had approximately 3000 views on TradeMe so far and agents claim the phones are going crazy," Mr Dunn says.
A description of the property on TradeMe reads: "Group home gone bad. Neglected, run-down ragamuffin needs urgent care."
While the heading for the advert simply reads: "IT'S DREADFUL".
Even though the advert warns first home buyers to bring a "bio-hazard suit", City Sales is predicting the property will be "the bargain of 2018".
