A person is dead following a crash between a cyclist and a vehicle in Timaru yesterday.

Police said the crash happened at 2.30pm on Washdyke Flat Rd.

"Police can now confirm that the cyclist died as a result of the crash."

No one else was injured. 

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
