A person is in a serious condition following an incident at a beach in East Auckland this afternoon.
A St John spokesperson said two ambulances were sent to the scene at Bucklands Beach at 5.04pm today.
One person has been transported to Middlemore Hospital in a critical condition.
A person at Bucklands Beach told 1 NEWS at least one police car and a fire appliance were also at the scene.
