The post centre at Auckland Airport has been evacuated after a suspicious package was found. 

Police told 1 NEWS: "A suspicious package has been located at the post centre at Auckland Airport. As is standard protocol the facility has been evacuated until the package has been assessed."

NZ Post says the building has been evacuated as per standard procedure after a suspicious package was located.

They say everyone is safe and that emergency services are on the scene.
