The All Blacks will pay tribute to the memory of Logan Cadwallader during Sunday’s Northern Tour opener against Scotland.

The former SAS soldier and head of security for the All Blacks for the last 10 years, Cadwallader died suddenly after a medical event at the team’s hotel in Edinburgh on Sunday.

The players will wear armbands to commemorate Cadwallader on the traditionally alternate white jerseys worn for Tests on Scottish soil.

Coach Dave Rennie confirmed Cadwallader’s son Trey is travelling to Scotland to attend the game.

Brother Dwayne and best friend Nathan have also made their way to Edinburgh, where they’ve spent time with Rennie and the group.

“It’s been a tough few days,” Rennie admitted.

“He’s such a good man. He meant a hell of a lot to the team, so it’s been a big emotional toll.

“We’ve had his brother Dwayne here with his best mate Nathan, and so it’s been a chance to get together and share stories, so that’s helped it's helped.

“But it's really rocked the squad. Our thoughts are obviously with (wife) Nanette and the kids and (son) Trey's on his way over here, which will be pretty special.”

A “hugely respected and much loved” member of staff, the death has sent shockwaves through the All Blacks’ camp.

Rennie said the team would their utmost to honour Cadwallader with their display on the pitch this weekend.

“We've certainly talked about that,” he said.

“He wouldn't he wouldn't be happy with us, you know, moping around all week and and struggling to put in a performance.”
