Dramatic vision has emerged of two pilots ejecting and parachuting out of a high-speed training jet moments before it crashed to the ground in Wales.
Video of the crash shared on social media showed the two Royal Air Force pilots ejecting from the high-speed Hawk fighter jet before it nosedives, crashes and bursts into flames.
The footage showed a plume of smoke and fire erupting as the aircraft hits the ground, appearing to narrowly miss residential properties.
The Royal Air Force said it had decided to pause Hawk operations following an "incident involving an RAF Hawk T2 aircraft, flying out of RAF Valley", according to the BBC.
"An investigation is under way and we will not comment further at this time," a spokesperson said.
North Wales police said the pilots were being treated for minor injuries.
Two air ambulances were also sent to the scene of the crash in Llanfaelog.
Eyewitness Ollie Zalot told the BBC he was playing golf when "all of a sudden I heard a bang up overhead".
"I just saw smoke everywhere but it looked like it was next to a farm yard so I thought maybe it's a bonfire," he said.
He said upon further inspection he saw it was a plane crash, and was "just hoping everyone was okay. It looked close to buildings."
North Wales Police said there were no reports of injuries on the ground.
