Roger Farrelly is leaving The Rock's breakfast show The Morning Rumble after 34 years behind the mic.
Known to listeners as Rog, the 53-year-old would host the breakfast show with Georgia Cubbon on The Sound.
"I'm so proud of the rumble… the fun we have each morning, the people on it, but importantly the listeners who have been part of and contributed to the show over the past 34 years. The Morning Rumble is probably going to have its best year in over a decade… the timing couldn't be better!" said Farrelly.
He said he was "pumped" to move stations.
"I grew up on the music of The Sound, so this feels like a natural next step. Let's see if I've got another 34 years in me," he added.
Jayden King aka Creech will move into the hot seat as the new Morning Rumble anchor, alongside Bryce, Mulls and Mel.
MediaWorks confirmed Farrelly's move to the breakfast slot meant current breakfast host Robert Taylor would move to the drive slot, with Tracey Donaldson taking over days.
All changes will take effect in January 2027.
Vaughan Hobbs, content director of The Sound, said Farrelly was "one of New Zealand radio's most familiar and respected voices".
"His passion for the music and connection with listeners will make him a brilliant addition to our team alongside Georgia on Breakfast."
MediaWorks also announced Troy Scott would return as executive producer of The Morning Rumble, joining the team next year.
Rog’s final day on The Rock will be Friday November 27.
