Emergency crews respond after person pulled from water in Canterbury

Emergency services have responded to a water-related incident near Wainui today.

A police spokesperson said emergency services were notified of an incident where a person had been pulled from the water near Cape Three Points around midday.

St John said it responded to the water incident near Bossu Rd in Wainui just before midday.

It sent one first response unit, one PRIME responder and one helicopter to the scene.

Cape Three Points was a rocky headland and small island group located at the southern end of Wainui Bay in Akaroa Harbour, on Banks Peninsula.
