Wayne Brown and Chris Bishop are speaking from next to one of the new CRL stations off Karangahape Rd in Auckland.

They were set to announce the opening date for the much-awaited project, but a billboard that went live in the central city spilt the beans earlier this morning.

The CRL will be opening on Sunday September 13.
