Kiwi heavyweight David Liti has won Commonwealth Games gold in the +110kg weightlifting in Glasgow this morning.
It's his third consecutive Commonwealth Games medal, after gold in 2018 and silver in 2022.
He lifted 223kg — a games record — in his second clean and jerk after a fascinating battle with India's Lovepreet Singh.
His combined weight of 389kg was also a record.
He told Sky Sport afterwards it was a "massive sigh of relief".
"Crazy, crazy, processing this whole thing. I knew coming into this competition, it would be tough. But yeah, best foot forward, that's all I could give."
It was the seventh medal and second gold of the day for New Zealand.
Earlier, shot putter Tom Walsh claimed silver, with gold going to Nigerian Chukwuebuka Enekwechi with a throw of 21.07m
The South Cantabrian needed 21.08m with his final attempt to move back in front, but couldn't improve on his 21.03m throw to start the competition.
He had been gunning for a third straight gold, and said afterwards that achieving silver "wasn't what I came here to do".
"I wasn't probably up to the task that I needed to be up to today, which is a little bit frustrating. But if I am going to lose it to someone, losing it to Chuk is not a bad way to do.
"Definitely not the distance or feeling I wanted to do out there, I warmed up well and then the nerves got to me a bit too much.
"Between me and my team we set some pretty high standards and today I wasn't where I wanted to be....I know that I am a better thrower than that."
Anna Grimaldi claimed her first Commonwealth Games bronze in 100m T47 final.
Grimaldi began in lane 3, finishing with a time of 12.46s - her season best.
