Police are appealing to the public for sightings of a 31-year-old woman reported missing for two weeks from the Bay of Islands.

Zhane O’Neill-Harvey, 31, was last seen on Monday, July 13 around 1.30pm on Opua Marina but hasn't been seen or heard from since.

"While the photo of her is a recent one, we have information she may now be wearing a burqa-style covering, fashioned from clothing," a police spokesperson said.

Police are appealing to the public for sightings of Zhane O’Neill-Harvey.

Officers were eager to reunite O’Neill-Harvey with her family, who were worried for her safety.

Anyone who had seen O’Neill-Harvey or knew of her whereabouts or movements was urged to call 105.
