Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Education Minister Erica Stanford are fronting media following the announcement of sweeping changes to replace NCEA.

The pair are outlining how the new qualifications system will work and why the Government says the overhaul is needed.

It comes as fresh details are revealed about subject requirements, grading and the transition timeline.
