One person has been taken to hospital in serious condition after reportedly being assaulted with a weapon and dropped off outside shops in Manurewa.
Police reported they were contacted around 3.10pm after a person was "dropped off to a premises" on Great South Rd with injuries from a weapon.
They clarified that the weapon was not a firearm.
Footage of the scene obtained by 1News showed blood smeared on a vehicle, cordoned off with police tape.

Hato Hone St John said they attended and took one patient to Middlemore Hospital in serious condition.
The organisation sent one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and one manager.
Police said officers were are on scene making enquiries to locate those involved.
It was the second serious assault to occur in the same area of Manurewa this week.
On Wednesday, a man was stabbed multiple times waiting for his bus outside the Manurewa train station.

Police said that incident occurred between two parties unknown to one another, and led to the arrest of one man who was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
