Emergency services had to free a "very lucky" driver trapped in their vehicle after a single vehicle crash in Auckland's Three Kings this morning.
The four-door silver hatchback had left the road and become wedged between electrical boxes and a building at the back of some shops.
One witness at the scene said it was a "very lucky escape for the driver".
Police told 1News the crash was reported just after 1am. "The vehicle involved ended up on its side in the crash.
"We are not aware of any serious injuries reported as a result."
Fire and Emergency New Zealand told 1News they responded to the incident with two fire trucks.
"Upon arrival one person was trapped in their vehicle. We worked to extricate them then left the scene."
Hato Hone St John said there was "one patient in moderate condition" who refused transport.
