Both the men's and women's individual triathlons headline the Olympics today, giving more Kiwis the chance to add to New Zealand's medal tally after the Black Ferns Sevens won gold this morning.
Day five kicks off with the women's individual triathlon with Kiwis Ainsley Thorpe and Nicole van der Kaay competing.
The men's event was rescheduled to tonight following pre-race water quality of the Seine not meeting quality standards.
The swimming leg of the event takes place in the Seine as athletes must swim 1500m before a tackling a 40km cycling route through the surrounding streets of Paris, and then a 10km run to finish.
Hayden Wilde competes in the men's individual triathlon alongside Dylan McCullough, and is a favourite to medal in the event. Wilde took home bronze in Tokyo, NZ's first Olympic triathlon medal in 13 years. 26-year-old Wilde also took home the silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Our rowers are entering the latter stages of their competition at the Vaires sur Marne Nautical Stadium, with Dan Williamson and Phillip Wilson featuring tonight in their men's coxless pair semifinal followed by Shannon Cox and Jackie Kiddle in the women's lightweight double sculls semifinal.

In the sailing last night, Jo Aleh and Molly Meech made a huge turnaround, rising up 12 places in the leaderboard to reach seventh place in the women's 49er class. They will compete in races 10-12 to try and qualify in the top 10 for the medal race. The men's 49er pair of Isaac McHardie and William McKenzie slipped to third in the overall rankings but will be in a good position for the medal race if they perform well tonight.
Later, the Football Ferns face hosts France in what is a must-win match for the Kiwis in Lyon.
Elsewhere, Spanish tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal play their men's double's quarterfinal at Roland Garros and the men's 100m freestyle final rounds out the days' swimming events at the Paris La Defense Arena.
