Woman charged with assault after milkshake thrown on UK politician

A UK woman has been charged with assault after a milkshake was thrown over controversial UK politician Nigel Farage this week.

Populist Farage, who leads Reform UK, was at a pub in the east England town of Clacton-on-Sea when the incident occurred.

He was there campaigning ahead of the UK's upcoming general election.

Walking down steps outside the pub, a woman appeared to throw her drink over him.

Victoria Thomas Bowen, 25, is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court over the incident, Essex Police said overnight.

The BBC reported the milkshake was banana-flavoured.
