Man dies in Porirua's Titahi Bay after diving from boat

A man has died in the water at Porirua's Titahi Bay this morning.

Police said emergency services responded about 9.35am to reports a man who had been diving from a boat was unresponsive after being pulled from the sea.

CPR had commenced after he was recovered, however he was pronounced dead upon arrival to the shore.

The death will be referred to the coroner.
