Dunedin pedestrian struck by car dies in hospital

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Dunedin this afternoon.

The crash occurred on Carroll Street, at 2.30pm, police said in a statement.

The pedestrian was transported to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition but died from their injuries this evening.
