Homicide investigation underway after man dies in Auckland

A homicide investigation is underway after a man in Auckland's Favona died of critical injuries early this morning.

Police were called to an address on Abiru Crescent just before 4am on Sunday.

Officers found a man critically injured and despite receiving medical attention, he died at the scene.

Police are speaking with a person in relation to the incident.

A scene examination will be underway this morning.
