Missing Lower Hutt boy, 12, found 'safe and well'

A 12-year-old boy missing from his Lower Hutt home since Saturday afternoon has been found "safe and well".

Police thanked the public for their help in finding Dylan Pickett.

He had last been seen in Colson St, Avalon, at about 4pm on Saturday.

His family earlier said it was out of character for him to go missing.
