A man has been charged with murder after the death of a woman in Christchurch this morning.
The woman, who has not been named, was found near Christchurch Airport just before 6.50am with critical injuries . She died a short time later, police say.
The man is due to appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow charged with murder.
Police are still examining the scene at Orchard Rd however expect this to be completed today.
