One person dead after crash on State Highway 1 near Foxton

One person has died and another two people are injured in a two car crash on State Highway 1, near Foxton on Sunday evening.

The crash happened just south of the town   at 6.35pm.

Police have confirmed one person died and two others are in Wellington Hospital with critical injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
